Laid to Rest Saturday
 
Funeral Services for Mre. Mattie Shaver Ellis 76, of Chickamauga Ga.
Who died Thursday, night were held at 2:00 Saturday afternoon at
Grand Center Baptist Church, the Reverent B.H. Berrier and the
Reverent Raymond Carroll Officiating.
 
Mrs Ellis was a livelong resident of Walker County and was a member
of the Wallaceville Methodist Church. She is survived by three Daughters.
Mrs. H.E. McJunkins, Chattanooga; Mrs. J. A. Morgan, Rossville and
Mrs C. B. Blevins, Cherry Point N.C. Six Son's  Griff and Frank Chickamauga.
Roy, Burtis and Dennis Rossville, Robert N. Houston Texas.
42 Grandchildren and 30 Great-Grandchildren.
 
Active Pallbearers.
Charle; John; Bill; Jim; Frank and Fred Morgan.
Honorary Pallbearers.
J.A. Talley; M.E. Shaver; Clifford Lewis; Haruy Pierce; Isaac Boss;
Crawford Westbrook; Lester Howard; Jim Campbell and G.W. Buchannon.
 
Interment was in the Grand Center Cemetery.
J. Avery Bryan in charge of arrangements.

James Ellis 68 Dies

 
James Ellis 68 died  Friday afternoon at his home in Chickamauga.
He is survived by his wife, Mattie Shaver Ellis.
Three Daughters, Mrs J.A. Morgan, Rossville.  Mrs. H.E. McJunkins Chattanooga;
and Mrs. G. B. Blevens, Cherry Point N.C.
 
Six son's,  Griff; Roy; Dennis and Frank; all of Chickamauga:
Bertis and R.N. Ellis, Chattanooga Valley.
 
Two Brothers,  Jess Ellis; Flintstone; Burl Ellis Rossville.
 
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock
in the Grand Center Baptist Church. 
 
Officiating were the Reverend Bartow McFarland and the Reverent Glenn Ellis
 
Burial was in the Grand Center Baptist Church Cemetery
J. Avery Bryan in charge of arrangements

Leola Ellis age 46, died at her home near Lafayette, Wednesday night,
She is survived by her Parents Mr. and Mrs Jim Ellis of Lafayette.
Three Sisters , Mrs. J.A. Morgan of Rossville; Mrs. Bessie McJunkins
of Charles, South Carolina and Mrs. Bertha Blevins of Trion Ga.
Six Brothers, Griff; Roy; Bert and Dennis Ellis all of Chickamauga.
Robert Ellis of Chattanooga Valley, and Frank Ellis of Lafayette.
 
Funeral Services were held Friday afternoon at the Grand Center Baptist Church.
with the Rev. Frank Rollins and Rev. Glenn Ellis giving the service.
 
Interment was in the Grand Center Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Neal; Farris; Clarence; Paul; Carl and Cecil Ellis.
