email note: Peggy Taylor

( I believe I have located our ELUSIVE DEMPSEY in the 1870 Hamilton Co, TN Census listed in the 4th Civil Dist. P.O. Wauhachia? stamped page # 535B:

Gobar, Dempsey 39 M W Farmer -Real Est $150 b GA

Elizabeth 35 F W keeping house b GA

William A 20 M W labors in brickyard b GA

James A. 18 M W labors on farm b GA

Isaac D. 6 M W at home b GA

Nancy L. 4 F W at home b TN

Permelia A 1 F W at home b TN

Believe Permelia A, is probably Permelia Adeline. Now we need to find them in 1880 to prove this!! This fits with Dempsey and Neita in 1850 and find orphans William and James in 1860 in Fulton Co., GA with the Rice Family. Isaac D. will in all probability turn out to be Isaac Dempsey."
