She died after 1870 in Hamilton Cty, Tennessee. There is some question as to whether Elizabeth was a Barrett or Barton. There were many Bartons involved in the Thomasom family. She is rumored to be Cherokee and being born in Elijay, a Cherokee town at the time, seems to lend credence to this theory. Zemery V. Thomason and Elizabeth Barrett had the following children:

For descendants of John & Hannah (Abercrombie) Thomason,
a research "notebook" has been compiled by Carol Jacobson, editor of the
The Thomason Research Letter. It contains everything in the 16-year-old
newsletter files on the family, and includes over 450 pages of family group
sheets,
county records, censuses, maps, local histories, and some photos. In the
interest
of size, the book does not include individuals born after about 1900.

information is constantly being added through research and correspondence,
and your family's updates are available upon request.
The sixth revision has just been completed. The pages are punched and ready
to put into your own 1-1/2 inch binder. It is $31.00, including postage.
Proceeds support new research. Just mail a check to: Carol Jacobson, 595
